There is always something that needs lifting or moving at work. Even receptionists and office workers sometimes have to deal with stationery and other deliveries in heavy or awkward boxes. Health and Safety regulations require that organisations make provisions to ensure their staff understand the risks of manual handling and how to minimise them. That means manual handling training, which also helps to avoid pain and discomfort of injury to staff, and saves on the cost of sick days and loss of production time for the organisation.

Benefits of In-house Trainers

Being able to run inhouse manual handling courses with staff who are qualified trainers is a big advantage. It saves the cost of external courses and makes it easier to ensure there are no delays to training new recruits or keeping everyone up to date. Another benefit is the opportunity to generate income from hiring out your trainers to run courses for other companies. This, of course, can only be done if they have a recognised qualification.

A World Class Qualification

While some training companies provide their own certificates, these are not likely to be widely recognised. They cannot therefore be relied on to provide full assurance about trainer competence to customers, regulators or insurers.

City & Guilds is a world leading vocational education organisation with qualifications delivered by over 10,000 training centres across the world. Alistair Bromhead Ltd developed the City & Guilds Manual Handling Train the Trainer Certificate and has continued to refine it over the past decade.

Two Days to Certification

The company is the only training provider able to deliver this prestigious qualification. A series of two day courses is planned to run in different locations around the country. Where an organisation wishes to train between 5 and 12 personnel, courses can be arranged in-house and tailored to the needs of the organisation. After a two day course, the City & Guilds Certificate is immediately awarded to successful delegates who are equipped to generate motivation, encourage participation and run enjoyable, interactive courses that will result in safe manual handling techniques by their course candidates.
