It is a good time to undertake health and safety training for furloughed staff. The Government is actively encouraging furloughed staff to undertake training. According to the latest guidance:
“furloughed employees can engage in training during hours which you record your employee as being on furlough, as long as in undertaking the training the employee does not provide services to, or generate revenue for, or on behalf of their organisation or a linked or associated organisation. Furloughed employees should be encouraged to undertake training.”
We have expanded our range of training courses to cater for your changing needs. We offer Zoom based virtual versions of a number of our key courses. All of these involve a live, online trainer:
- City & Guilds Manual Handling Train the Trainer course. Our most popular offering has been converted into a virtual version. For our open courses we have split the course into two half days followed by one full day. The course will help to prepare for life after furlough when your staff can roll out your own manual handling training.
- Manual handling risk assessor course. A one day event which we can run for your in-house groups
- Display screen equipment risk assessor. A one day event to help train your staff to conduct your own display screen equipment risk assessments
A key feature of all of our training is interactivity. We believe that delegates need to be actively involved in enjoyable sessions if they are to obtain maximum benefits. We have endeavored to maintain this interactivity on our online events, with the use of many different training exercises and techniques. On in-house events, we can discuss the format that would best suit your needs. If you have staff who are not used to online work, shorter sessions are preferable.
